From page 169:
What was the best team to ever win the Super Bowl?

Most people probably rank the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins or maybe the 1985 Chicago Bears in this position. And all the Cowboy fans will put one of the Cowboys winning teams as #1, no matter what. Having never had my team make the big game when they were still the Houston Oilers (and they lost the only time they made it after moving to Tennessee), I had to choose some other team.

Despite the fact that whenever the Oilers were in Houston the hated rival was the Pittsburgh Steelers, my biggest Super Bowl team is the 1978 Pittsburgh team. Terry Bradshaw and Lynn Swann and the rest of that storied team of the 70's literally dominated that season and ended up with one of the most spectacular wins in Super Bowl history. It ranks as one of only two Super Bowls that I watched from kickoff to final whistle without even so much as a restroom break. (The other was the New England win over St. Louis (but I had $300 riding on that one).

Now, if the New Orleans Saints have the dominant game that I am hoping they have over the Colts this year, my opinion could change.

I am not a big football fan. I follow the results but nothing else. When the game starts tonight I will be in bed asleep. I have to go to work at 10:00 P.M. I realize I could tape the game, but I am already taping Iron Chef America.

As far as your question, I would say the greatest was the Dolphins, although your choice of the Steelers is also a good one.
