One of my favorite pasttimes is scrabble and its variations. Maybe because I have been a lifelong reader. I am going to start out with a weekly entry for those of you who are fellow enthusiasts. Each week, tune back in for a new word. Most of these words will be ones that are not readily on the tip of your tongue, but can be highly useful to know if you happen to have the correct set of letters.

Zymurgy is the branch of chemistry that deals with how things are fermented, such as beer. Which is exactly why I chose it as my first entry.
